Met Gala vs. Mint Gala -- Take Your Pick š
A haiku for you ā
(Ok, it kind of breaks the rules of a haiku, so consider it a short poem. Nonetheless, this is what I jotted down as my idea/notes for this weekās newsletter intro. When I came back to it this evening, I had a whole ramble planned/attached, but I think the original actually stands alone. So for once, Iāll keep it short + sweet. More on the ramble of how my brain went from Met Galaā¦ to that one time I lived in NYC and went to Comic Conā¦ to what itād be like if people started dressing up like their PFPs and walking around town grabbing groceries from Aldi or showing up on a Zoom in full NFT garbā¦ next week. So ya know, #staytuned)
Now back to the semi-haiku:
the met gala is weird
i donāt really understand it
and yet i couldnāt look away
kind of like the first time i came across nfts
#theEnd
ICYMIā¦ hereās the red carpet looks that took over the Met on Monday night. The details were insane. The watch parties were litā¦ up with airdropped NFTs. And the after parties were an even more interesting blend of the Web2 + Web3 worlds.
If you did miss it, thereās chance to join in round 2, The Mint Gala on May 11.

ā½ļø Outside the gala and into the arena, sports news this week was rowdy:

WNBA and PWRFWD are two acronyms you oughta pay attention to.

š Also rowdy: BAYC broke the Ethereum blockchain. Hereās the details:
